Canadian artist, born in Calgary, Canada in 1971. Currently based in Los Angeles, USA. McFetridge received his BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design and his MFA from the California Institute of Arts. McFetridge is inspired by the existence of images outside of language and how they may open the mind to different approaches of cognition. Thus, his paintings focus more on what is felt rather than what is physically seen. Using a combination of simplified figures, whimsical design, and bold color palettes, McFetridge’s art invites us to ponder about forms and collective experiences. After participating in the Beautiful Losers exhibition in New York (1991) and opening his solo exhibition at George’s in Los Angeles (1997), McFetridge went on to make a name for himself in the world of graphic design. His past works include the logotypes and graphics for Nike, Girl Skateboards, ESPN, and Burton Snowboards, among others. McFetridge has also worked with filmmaker Sofia Coppola to create the title graphics for the film The Virgin Suicides (1999), and has since then designed titles for the films such as Adaptation (2002), Where the Wild Things Are (2009), and Her (2013). In 1996, McFetridge founded his own design studio, Champion Graphics. He was awarded the 2016 Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian National Design Award and the 2019 Medal of AIGA.

Our goal was to create a feeling as if a singer were singing in the room, with acoustics full of musicality and pure voice. Tom’s Lab, a master of high-end speaker systems with deep knowledge and experience, was in charge of the basic design based on our ideas.
Because these speakers are designed to let you savor the lyrics, we have created a sound that makes you feel as if the artist is spelling the words for you in the same space.

- BOX

Designed a 2-way bass reflex speaker capable of reproducing a wide range of sound. The cabinet is made of an acrylic plate that minimizes excess distortion and vibration, resulting in a speaker with beautiful sound reproduction.

- CANVAS

Created a beautiful sound with a rich frequency range by using two boards to form a large baffle plate that reflects sound efficiently. In addition, adopting the rear-reflection method which uses the interior wall as the resonating part of the speaker when it’s placed near a wall, adds a uniqueness to our sound quality.

In which countries and regions can I use the plugs?

The product is shipped with a plug that can be used in the country of purchase. A 2-pin plug for Japan and the U.S., a 2-pin plug for Europe, a 3-pin plug for the U.K., Hong Kong, and Singapore, and a 2-pin plug for China are always included in the package, so you can use it in many countries and regions. If the plug shape does not match, please use a conversion plug. A transformer is not necessary.

Yes, COTODAMA” SPEAKER is properly copyrighted through the lyrics distribution companies Sync Power and LyricFind.

If a song is not in the database, you can request it from the official COTODAMA” social media, and we will create it for you. However, please note that we may not be able to respond to your request due to the song’s copyright.

If an instrumental song or lyric does not exist in the database, is nothing displayed on the display?

No, it does not. Graphic visualization of the beat of the song will be displayed.

Is it possible to play multiple COTODAMA” speakers simultaneously?

Yes, it is possible. Simultaneous playback in the living room and bedroom is possible as long as they are under the same Wi-Fi environment.

Do I need an App to set up Wi-Fi?

No, a dedicated app is not necessary. For iPhone, you can connect to Wi-Fi using AirPlay or Google Home. For Android, you can connect to Wi-Fi using Google Home.

It cannot make a Wi-Fi connection with iPhone (AirPlay).

When connecting to Wi-Fi via AirPlay, select the speaker that shows up in the “SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER...” section (it may take a moment for this to appear, so please be patient). Do not select the speaker displayed under OTHER NETWORKS.

Are the manuals and support only available in Japanese and English?

No. Manuals are available in eight languages, and social media support is available in English and Japanese. We also provide help in various languages using translation applications.

I don't see any volume on the BOX model?

Yes, the volume control for the BOX model is done on the phone. You can adjust the volume using the volume slider in the music app or the volume buttons on your phone.

Is the first model (model: LS1, LS1-G), which is no longer sold, available use only for iPhone?
